If I am not better, at least I am different.

How to summarize without becoming ridiculously wordy? I am an artistic, theatrically inclined overachieving musician at a small school in rural Illinois. I am a writer when I have time to be, an avid reader of just about anything, and a talented multitasker. I dream my ridiculous dreams for the future with great enthusiasm, even if it seems life will not work out the way I plan. I don't care. I'll give it my best. What motivates me? The hope that someday I'll be more than just a statistic on some government chart. Call me crazy...you wouldn't be the first and you won't be the last. Crazy is just different from the norm, and different is better by far. I also apparently look like a foreign exchange student, but from where we cannot be sure. We believe I must be from England, since my reading voice evidently sounds somewhat British and I have been completely smitten with the country since traveling to London over the summer. In reality, I am an English/German/Irish/Scottish mutt of an American. But a skeptical American at best. I seem like a bit of a radical next to a lot of the others in my school...but that's me being different and loud about my opinions again. To mine own self I will be true, no matter what. It's the only satisfying way to live.
