So my Ivy League did not reject me ... but they didn't accept me, either. I was waitlisted. 23,000 students applied for admission there. They let in 1800 and waitlisted 1000. So I'm one of under 3000 students that they didn't just reject. Heck yes! I'm quite pleased with that. I'm actually going to put my name on the waitlist for kicks; they don't require a deposit to do so, like most schools, so why not? The chances of my getting a spot from the waitlist are pretty slim, but that's okay.
Why is that okay? Because today, just one week after my financial aid application was finally, finally completed, and after all of my panic about money because of the stupid FAFSA, the University of Chicago sent me a financial aid package. And I can afford it.
