Day one of school, and I had to spend several hours doing homework.
It's that AP Physics class. Mytych is trying to scare some of the class into regular Physics, I think, so she gave us two packets (one long, one short) due Friday, two quizzes on Friday, and our first lab and test next Tuesday. And since I'm working after school tomorrow, I had to do all of it, basically. That and reading for Calculus; reading for a math class is infinitely worse than reading for an English class. But other than my math/science classes, I think the rest of my schedule should be good. I'm excited for AP English; our list of readings for the year is fabulous. Chorale is, well, Chorale, and Band is usually fun. My internship with Nealeo should be entertaining at the very least, my independent study should be just fine, and Family Living seems like it's going to be an interesting/amusing class.
My parking space is terrible, and my locker is only convenient on A days when I'm in 239 every other period, but I'll just get used to running around and it'll be fine. I'm very excited for Pygmalion and can't wait for auditions - casting the play means, to me, that the fun part of the year has begun. There's a Drama Club starting this year and Nesseth wants me to sort of student direct it, I guess, so I'll have to start thinking about that.
The day I played tour guide to the most obnoxious group of freshmen alive, I realized something as I walked around the school and ran after teachers to say hello. While I don't miss getting up early, or stupid classes, or the HOMEWORK, I do end up missing the bizarre people at Central when summer comes around. So while I'm sorry to be back in school for a lot of reasons, there are a few that make it worthwhile. Just a few, though.
