So Aida is Romeo and Juliet Egyptian style. You could see the ending coming a mile away. They had to die together, because it was weirdly romantic like that. I'm sure the music is lovely, but the sound system in the theatre was so bad it was hard to tell. Microphones going in and out, bad sound levels...ugh. It wasn't bad, though. If the sound had been better, I'm sure it would have been great. I just didn't get as...sucked into it as I usually do with plays. But I got out of school for the day! Yes! And Mr. Struyk only glared at me once today, despite having plenty of opportunity.
But it was the first meeting for The Spiral Staircase cast and crew. It was...exciting, and energetic, and it has so much promise...the Struyk disease is catching. We were loud and obnoxious and had one of those immediate bonds going on...like we all recognized instantly that we're in it together for the long run. I think it's going to be awesome. And that's all I'll say, otherwise I'll just keep going and going and going...
Theatre buddies, find Mr. Nesseth (he's in the striped shirt):

Mr. Nesseth of 2003, at the Stagecoach Theatre, playing Schroeder in You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown.
(The last one in the second to last row is a great one.)
